1. Is Closepeople another encounter website?
NO, because Closepeople is a place where you can keep in touch with the people you've met through your whole life, real people (relatives, friends, workmates, and so on). Because your Footprints have personal information about you, only people who really know you will contact you.

2. Do Closepeople services have any cost?
NO, not at all, our search services are totally free. There is not another way to do this, if we want the whole world to be inside of our system. Later, we will develop more services, through sponsorship; we will do our best to avoid transferring any cost to you.

3. Do I have to fill out the registration form to use Closepeople’s Search Engine?
YES, because our system depends on the data given by users.

4. Is it dangerous to fill out the whole Closepeople registration or Footprints form?
No, because we never ask you for addresses, phone numbers, financial information or any other kind of sensitive data about you. When you know exactly who your contact is, you can give this information to that person, but this can be done only by you.

5. Who will see my Life Footprints?
Your Life Footprints are only used for search affairs; they will never be visible to others, except your name, gender, age city and country of birth. The rest of your information (which as a matter of fact is optional), is hidden, and will be used only for search criteria to display the information listed above when somebody is looking for you.

6. If there's a person I don't want to have contact with, what can I do?
Don'´t worry, you just use your Footprints normally. Remember that you only accept the people you want to, besides, you can manage your contacts and you can keep in your list only the people you know.

7. If I enter not too much information about me in my Footprints, will the search engine still work?
The system we've designed is excellent, and sometimes it will work with at least 7 fields, but the more information you give to us, the easier it is for other people to contact you.

9. If I only have not too much information when attempting to make a search, How can I search for that person?
The best thing you can do is to fill out the search form with everything you remember, if you are not sure about any information, use it anyway, maybe in the results set the person you are looking for can show up.

12. Can I omit a school or a work place? Because I'm not interested in having contact with some places
Of course you can, but, think again, you have no idea who's looking for you. Besides, if you don't want to get in touch with that person, either you decline his/her request or you just delete that person from your contacts.

13. How can you verify the identity of the person that is sending a request to you?
If you think you know that person, you could search for that same person. If you get good results ( the same nickname ), the most probable thing is that he/she is the person you know.

14. How to  know who I can give my address or phone number to?
It's up to you. We suggest searching for the person that is sending a request to you, just to be sure. Besides, before giving sensitive data such as an address or a phone number, you can use Closepeople’s messages service to be sure who that person is.

Otherwise, you will never get an email from us. If any person, job agency or entity different from Closepeople asks you for your password, financial information or another kind of sensitive data about you, please let us know. Report them to abuse@closepeople.com

18. What can you tell me about my Life Footprints' photo?
Your Life Footprints' image (photo) is an optional feature we have created in order to help other people to find you in an easier way.

If you have an image in your Life Footprints, it will appear in small size (but large enough for other people to recognize you) in the search results set. On the other hand, your contacts will be able to see this photo in original size with a single click.
